John Wheeler died recently. In this lecture, Kip Thorne (one of his many students) will give a retrospective on Wheeler's life, his contributions to national security and to nuclear physics, astrophysics, relativity, quantum gravity and quantum cosmology, and his role as mentor and inspiration to several generations of physicists. |
