Abstract
The discovery of evidence for Dark Energy driving the acceleration of cosmic expansion was the great cosmological surprise of the 1990s. It has revitalized interest in precision measurements of cosmic expansion history. I will review the evidence for dark energy, and discuss the prospects for constraining its properties in future experiments, with a particular emphasis on the proposed Supernova Acceleration Probe (SNAP) satellite.
