If you're in my section, I would like you to submit your assignments by email to the above address by midnight on Tuesday. Filenames should have your name and the week number as a minimum. My preference is a pdf with a format something like:
To this end, it's often helpful to make a template in LaTeX and to simply drop the relevant parts into the template, before outputting the lot as a PDF. As you get better at coding, it's not impossible to write a script in python (or make) to take the relevant files and automatically generate the submitted file with very little external input. The advantage of this method is that if you fix a bug at the last minute, you don't have to copy-paste everything again! Obviously if you've never used LaTeX before you have a grace period, and I'm happy to help you out.
If you don't have a functional version of the code by the due date, still follow the above template! For output, put whatever error messages you have. Comments include what you think went wrong. And of course, code with clear structure and useful comments help me help you get the whole thing working.
Feel free to write me emails! Fair warning: I may be less than enthusiastic about bug finding at 3am. I promise to read all emails and reply within 24 hours, usually I can manage more rapidly than this. To help me give specific answers, specific questions are most useful. For questions that google can answer, I refer you to this useful website.
